IM: INTRODUCTION TO MUSIC

DOWNLOAD TO ACCESS THIS COURSE This course is designed to equip students with basic theoretical and practical framework that would prepare them towards deeper understanding of music, and be able to both appreciate and interpret music. The purpose  is to present music in a more or less simplistic manner so that students could use the knowledge/skills gained towards good music and life in society. The course covers music in society, foundation of music, concepts in music, representation of music tones or sounds, and the elements employed in music organisation are discussed. At the end of thoroughly studying the course, you should be able to apply/interpret the aspects of music addressed.This will enable students who can take up music as a career.
